Kapu Street 97, Jūrmala

The project was carried out on a territory of approximately 1 hectare at Kapu Street 97, Jūrmala.

A comprehensive restoration and construction project on a plot of land within a culturally and historically significant area. The project included the reconstruction of a historical building, the construction of new facilities, and landscaping, while preserving the unique atmosphere.

Work Performed

Reconstruction of the main building – restoration of a cultural monument, preserving its historical appearance while ensuring modern functionality. Authentic materials and restoration methods were used.
Construction of a new guest house – a functional building, architecturally harmonized with the surrounding development, designed for guest accommodation.
Construction of a new tea house – a light wooden structure with a veranda, serving as both an aesthetic and functional element of the landscape.
The project was implemented in accordance with Jūrmala city building regulations and cultural heritage protection requirements, in close cooperation with architects, construction supervisors, and the State Cultural Heritage Protection Inspectorate.

/01 Reconstruction of the Main Building

Complete restoration of the cultural monument, practically “from scratch.”
Use of authentic materials and technologies for the restoration of façades, the tower, windows, radiators, and door fittings.
Provision of modern functionality while preserving the historical appearance.

/01.1 Restoration of the Tower

The tower became the central element of the architectural ensemble.
During the approval process, it was necessary to prove the historical justification of the tower, which was successfully confirmed with archival materials.
After obtaining the necessary permits, the tower was restored according to historical drawings, becoming the project’s “cherry on top.”

/02 Construction of the Guest House

As part of the project, a new guest house was built as part of the architectural ensemble of cultural and historical value. The construction solutions were carefully adapted to the character of the surrounding architecture, with special attention given to harmonious integration with the rest of the buildings and the natural landscape.

/03 Construction of the Tea House

A light wooden structure with a veranda was created for relaxation and as a decorative landscape element, complementing the aesthetics of the historical garden.
